You drill. We handle the rest.
Drill Pro Utilities brings independent HDD and direct-bury crews steady work, runs the project management and billing, and on most jobs gets you paid within 10 days of invoice approval. Your crew, your rigs, your customers and your company name stay yours. One-rig crews are welcome.
Most drillers run two businesses
One is the drilling company. The other is an office: finding the next job, sending invoices, tracking retainage, keeping insurance paperwork current, and calling a prime about a check that's 60 days late. None of that puts footage in the ground.
A lot of crews don't know you can hand that second business off. You can. That's what we do.
Getting started takes three things
1. Sign our Master Services Agreement (MSA). It sets out how we work together.
2. Send your certificate of insurance (COI). It needs to show general liability of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, plus workers' comp.
3. Send your W-9.
That's it. Then we start matching you with work. There's no minimum rig count. One-rig crews are welcome.
How it works
1. Get set up. Complete the three steps above and tell us about your crew: rigs, crew size, where you'll travel.
2. We bring you work. We have relationships with telecom companies and prime contractors across the country. We match you to fiber and power jobs that fit your crew, anywhere in the USA.
3. You drill. We manage. We handle scheduling, communication with the prime, documentation and reporting. Onsite project management is available in select locations.
4. We bill. You get paid. We send the invoices, follow up, and get the money moving. On most jobs, you're paid within 10 days of invoice approval.
Two ways to work with us
- Work we find for you. We bring the job. The customer pays us, and we pay you.
- Project management for your own jobs. It's your job and your customer. We run the project management and billing, and you pay us for it.
Either way, we'll go over exactly how it works before you sign anything. Contact us for details.
What we handle for you
- Finding work through our prime and telecom relationships
- Project management from bid to completion
- Scheduling and communication with the prime
- Job documentation and reporting
- Invoicing and pay applications
- Tracking retainage
- Keeping insurance paperwork in line
- Collections, so you don't have to chase the payment
What stays yours
Your crew. Your equipment. Your reputation. Your customers and your company name. You can keep working for your own customers. We don't replace what makes you good at drilling. We take the parts of the business that pull you away from it.
Getting paid on time
Late pay is the reason most good crews stall. Primes and utilities often pay on long cycles. Meanwhile, payroll, fuel and equipment payments are due now. That's how a crew ends up turning down a bigger job it could easily drill, because it can't afford to wait for the money.
We fix that. We handle the invoicing and follow-up so bills go out right and on time. And on most jobs, you get paid within 10 days of invoice approval, through our factoring relationships. You don't wait on the prime's payment cycle. Contact us for details.
Factoring, explained simply
Factoring is how you get paid now instead of waiting for the customer.
1. You finish the work and the invoice gets approved.
2. A factoring company pays out on that invoice right away, so you aren't waiting 30, 60 or 90 days.
3. The factoring company waits for the customer to pay.
4. The factoring company charges a fee for the speed.
It isn't a loan. You're getting paid sooner for work you already did. With Drill Pro, on most jobs that means within 10 days of invoice approval. Contact us for details.
What it looks like
A Montana driller nearly doubled his revenue in 2026 after we took over his project management, billing and payment collection.
Who this is for
- One- and two-rig outfits that want to grow without hiring office staff
- Crews turning down work because of cash flow, not capacity
- Owners who are tired of chasing primes for payment
- Established drillers who want out of the paperwork
It's not for everyone. If you like doing all your own bidding and billing, that's a fine way to work. This is for crews who would rather be drilling.
